Inspired by the rich culture and colours of Puglia, we present you Amanti
The golden hues of summer and the warm smells of traditional Italian kitchen is what Amanti eludes, a collection made by lovers for lovers. The love for food, family, and sacred friendships passed down for generations; is the legacy that nonna Ester Fanny is passing down to her children. The 86 year old had taught her daughter Maria Grazia everything she knew in the kitchen from an early age, including making orecchiette. Making orecchiette together is a family tradition that Maria Grazia loved growing up. Melody Tan of Âme Studio spent time with Nonna Ester Fanny, Maria Grazia and their family at their Masseria Potenti during the summer of 2019. There she experienced the unconditional love, heart and soul of Italy and its people, and especially the meaning of family. Amanti is a collection that is dedicated to the people she met during her journey who embraced her as one of their own.
Together with Âme Studio, this collaboration is a collection of jewellery reflecting the deep love between this mother-daughter duo making orecchiette. Sun-dried orecchiette made by hand that Melody brought back from Puglia, were preserved into moulds by our Bali artisans to use for the casting process. Lovingly designed as modern heirlooms to grace the ears, neck and wrist. All of the jewellery in Amanti is made of 18k gold plated recycled bronze.
